Incredible, underwater progress for U.S.

The underlying technology is probably unfamiliar to most, but the average beach goer will easily appreciate these seemingly self-powered (no batteries) little jewels.

Sponsored and inspired by Office of Naval Research, developed by teams of researchers at Virginia Tech, the University of Texas at Dallas, and several other schools like M.I.T.

Video, photos and more available in above CNET link (Robotic jellyfish for U.S. Navy powers itself with seawater).

China will attempt to steal the technology unless another Democratic president (Clinton and Lockheed missile guidance) decides to "help" them. Iran and North Korea will provide worldwide drama, but the little jellies will know their every move! This is destined to become the ultimate silicone spy implant.

Submarines are always silent and strange.
