Islamic Republic's (IRAN's) Latest "Smart" Submarine

In August 2008 we had published Juan Caruso's cartoon (above) in response to this absurd claim: 'Smart' submarine boosts military, says Tehran. Apparently, someone in the Islamic Republic of Iran reads agrees with M.E.'s cartoonist, Juan Caruso.

On January 22, 2012 comes word that top admiralty of the Islamic Republic may have wisely considered Caruso's mockery and not only taken his suggestion under advisement, but actually produced prototypes of a ‘Smart’ Remote-Controlled Submarine. Can any submariner read all 3 paragraphs from Eurasia Review (link) without chuckling?
"The 3-Kg Phoenix is a mono-propelled propulsion system that has a fin maneuverability system, and can “can carry out surveillance for one meter,” according to ISNA."

Must be rubber-band propelled.

How ratcheting gradually always works --- even when ONE-WAY is wrong

..............................W R O N G !

Islam wields its shameless hypocrisy again, as if ill-consideration is their special birthright:

Jan. 26, 2012 (The Associated Press) - Muslims call for NYPD chief to resign

Muslim groups are calling for New York's police commissioner to step down because of his appearance in a film they say paints them in a bad light.

About 20 activists held a news conference on the steps of City Hall on Thursday and criticized Ray Kelly for giving an interview to the producers of the movie "The Third Jihad."

The movie uses dramatic footage to warn against the dangers of radical Islam. Muslim groups say it teaches Americans to be suspicious of all Muslims. ...The movie was later shown to police trainees.

How strange these American Muslim groups never asked these leaders to resign after the infamy of 9-11. More than the latest movie, their tolerance of such men as Osama bin Laden, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, Anwar al-Awaki, and others may have actually "taught Americans to be suspicious of all Muslims", don't many of us believe?

M.E. urges non-PC American thinkers to advertise the The Third Jihad (movie trailer); It has been liberally panned by PC elites, the MSM, and their mignons in various chains of command. In fact, New York City's police commissioner, Ray Kelly, apologized Wednesday for his appearance in and for showing the 2008 movie to up to 1,489 trainees.

Resetting Atomic Clocks - Submarine QOTW

Casual / Automatic Reset

The government's primary Atomic Clock NIST-F1 is located in Boulder, Colorado. NIST-F1 keeps time which neither gains or loses a second in more than 100 million years. The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) transmits its time to the International Bureau of Weights and Measures in Paris, France. The Bureau averages the time scales from NIST-F1 and similar standards in other major nations, and calculates an average known as the Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). NIST transmits the UTC time scale via radio (e.g. station WWVB) for government, industrial and consumers. Related clocks, watches and measuring devices are programmed to interpret and calibrate to such UTC transmissions. As long as your device(s) can receive the proper radio signal, it can update exactly to your selected time zone.

Political /Manual Reset
New START (for Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty) replaced the Treaty of Moscow (SORT), which was due to expire in December 2012. In terms of name, it is a follow-up to the START I treaty, which expired in December 2009, the proposed START II treaty, which never entered into force, and the START III treaty, for which negotiations were never concluded.

The U.S. and Russia are considering further nuclear arms reductions. Specifically, some Russians see advantages to GIDT2A (guaranteed irreparable damage to any aggressor).
The lateest treaty places no limits on tactical systems, such as the Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II.

Originally, the doomsday clock represented threat of global nuclear war; since 2007, however, it has been further politicized to reflect subjective climate-change and other frightful biological attempts to cow (extortion) the public toward paying higher taxes to prevent potentially irrevocable harm.
