Questions of the Week (Q.O.T.W.) with ANSWERS
1 - Identify the submarine officer who made the statements quoted above. ANS: CDR Timothy P. Reidy Jr - OSU’s submariner: Navy ROTC officer recalls life under the sea
2 - Deduce the US submarine (name and hull number) to which quote 2 (above) likely relates.
ANS: Possibly on a 25-day trip got extended to 82 days. on board the USS Louisville (SSN-724), a Los Angeles-class submarine. As to food containers stored on deck plates with boards placed on top of them, meaning everyone had to deal with the lowered clearance, note thatCDR Reidy stands 6' 3" tall.
3 - Identify the bygone submarine era depicted below (photo shown in original posting linked at top was from the "Theatre review"ANS: Submarine Time Machine - "Along the banks of the Forth & Clyde Canal, near the National Theatre of Scotland’s new home, something is stirring. Submarines are always silent and strange.
