MYSTERY QUESTIONS with ANSWERS

1) Where was Crescent Shipyard located, and what can be said of its 2 founders regarding advanced types of ships? ANS: The Crescent Shipyard, which built the U.S. Navy's first commissioned submarine, was located in Elizabeth, NJ. Crescent's founders, Navy Lt. Lewis Nixon and Arthur L. Busch, were regarded as two of the best in their fields at designing and building the most advanced types of ships.


2) When (+/- 5 years) was the postcard featured above used? ANS: Feb. 4, 1919.


3) What was the cost of the postage stamp? ANS: Two cents.


4) What was the name and street of the postcard printer? ANS: BAMFORTH & CO., WARREN ST., NEW YORK.
