Media Investigation of Mar Lago Intrusion Not What It Appears

Chinese woman who allegedly snuck into Mar-a-Lago had device to detect cameras

Obvious:
  • Yujing Zhang's clumsily explained presence was set to appear as a bungled ISR (intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance) by a Chinese national.
  • No doubt Zhang is Chinese, but she was not sent by China's government to get caught attempting to test, document and subvert (with her malware (on her thumbdrive) the security of President Trump's favored getaway.  "Now the FBI is investigating whether Yujing Zhang, 33, is an agent of the Chinese government.", says the New York Post, which also states that, The incident helped cost Secret Service chief Randolph “Tex’’ Alles his job Monday.
  • The Zhang intrusion was an effort to both discredit Mr. Trump's management acumen and to plant the suggestion of who, besides numerous Deep State subversives and George Dieid *, may wish POTUS assassinated before they can be held to account for their alleged seditious schemes, self-serving treachery, or treasonous activities.
  • First on our short list of potential foreign state malefactors is a North Korean fellow who runs a surprisingly capable organization for clandestine operations, who also has close ties with China and may already be developing an EMP-type nuclear warhead that could be purchased by or donated to the :
  • Finally on our short list of foreign states is Iran and its likely proxy,  anonymous, highly-educated ISIS sympathizers and operatives.

Kim Jon Un Dictatorship 4th Update (8 NOV 17)

Background

Our Kim Dynasty countdown had remained at stage 8 on our 12-point scale since ME's 2nd delaration on September 28th. The political pressure on "The Little 'Rocket' Man" has been applied in a most embarassing fashion for him --- through  Today's Asian (The Manila Times) coverage of South Korean President Moon Jae-In's joint press conference with President Trump at the presidential Blue House in Seoul on November 7, 2017.

Consequently we move the 'Rocket Man' COUNTDOWN one step closer to zero at stage 7, the first shift in months (12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 3, 1, 0).

UPDATE

SKorea ‘in talks to buy nuclear submarine’ from US – reports
"SEOUL: South Korea is negotiating with the United States to buy nuclear-powered submarines to guard against threats from Pyongyang, local reports said Tuesday, as President Donald Trump said Seoul would buy 'billions of dollars' of US weapons.  ... After a summit in South Korea with his counterpart Moon Jae-In, Trump on Tuesday said Seoul would be buying a large amount of US weapons “whether it’s planes, whether it’s missiles, no matter what it is”.

“The strategic assets under discussion include a nuclear-powered submarine and a sophisticated surveillance asset,” the reports quoted a senior official of Moon’s office as saying. "We will have close consultations with the US about these two in the future,” the official was quoted as saying.
******
Of course, China's envoys will tell DPRK generals that this is merely a Trump tactic to use a bargaining chip in negotiations with China which is entirely probable à la US-Taiwan arms deals. And whatever his generals hear from China, Kim will know and suspect his peasantry will hear. However, some DPRK's generals will have their doubts about how far Trump would go to arm South Korea. Since Kim must already expect defection among his top generals he will crack down (executions), which will make him appear more frightened than ever.

Kim must continue to distract and befuddle his followers with domestic strife such as:

  •  assassination of an alleged Kim (no doubt accused of plotting a regime takeover)
  • executions of some token missile official who ineptly caused the delay in his pacific hydrogen bomb launch
  • capture and executions of a South Korean spy cell (spotters and informers are already in North Korea)
Any combination of more than one of the above actions within 6 months will move our countdown 2 points closer as it would relect Kim's desperation at perceived panic level.

Trump's provocations are not over. Their impact has been calculated to escalate gradually.

PREDICTIONS
Remember, the more agitated and desperate for food and heat the peasants become this winter, the sooner Rocket Man becomes the "Un" Kim Jong-un.  Kim's time is running out. Western news has been covertly getting in, and if Kim survives another 12 months he wins  -- becoming almost invincible in a non-nuclear chess strategy as a formidible future nuclear threat.  This will not happen; either an internal coup takes him out, or he will disappear from public view forever after an ostensible visit to China, a hospital, or a vacation retreat.

Kim Dynasty Update: Desperation Visible Internally

BACKGROUND

Kim Jong-Un has been fthe latest figurehead in North Korea's declining Kim Dynasty since his father's death in 2011 as well as Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army.
He is militarily controversial worldwide and will soon become deeply unpopular with the DPRK's cruelly oppressed citizens. Our previous 'Rocket Man'  coutdown  declared a 9 on our 12-point scale with 0 being the end of his and the Kim Dynasty's days in power.

UPDATE

Today, signs of Rocket Man's desperation, which have been clear outside of North Korea for some time now, may finally become clear to some of his cruelly oppressed citizen - volunteers inside their country.
  •  Thur,Sep 28th 2017||  Kim Jong-Un releases propaganda video of North Korea 'blowing up' a US aircraft carrier as the dictator brands Trump a 'mad man' and warns US forces will be 'sent to the grave'
 PREDICTION
From now on, the more agitated and desperate for food and heat the ordinary Jim Jong Jangs become the sooner will Rocket Man become an Un Kim Jong-un. We see he hasnow stumbled one stage closer to nonexistence and the end of a dynasty at Stage 8.
(12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 3, 1, 0)

What Kim Jong Un Knows is really at stake

BACKGROUND (Today 25 SEPT 17)

Provocation and Effect (Desperation)

North Korea's foreign minister accuses President Trump of declaring war after Trump said the regime "won't be around much longer." That gives the rogue regime "the right to shoot down U.S. strategic bombers even when they are not flying in North Korean airspace", Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho told reporters in New York.

The VISIBLE GAME

If North Korea attacks the U.S. military, China will standby as the U.S. retaliates. Naive U.S. citizens cringe in fear at such a horrible, though non-nuclear, prospect.

The UNSEEN GAME

Members of North Korea's military have been preparing for a coup since before Jong Un's father died.  As Kim orders more unpopular executions to scare his military for any suspected disloyalty, as food stocks dwindle and oil supplies are tightly rationed this coming winter, a military coup will become more popular with ordinary citizens. His own actions have only sped the inevitable coup that Kim Jong Un has always feared.

And "Rocket Man" [a Trump appellation] Kim fears South Korea has 'spotters' following his every movement, as well as spies in DPRK's ArmyBy now Kim must assume that there has to be at least one Chinese informer among his leadership cabinet.

PREDICTIONS
Trump's provocations are not over. Their impact has been calculated to escalate gradually.

The countdown for Rocket Man is at about this stage: 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 3, 1, 0.

Subliminal Message from the DC 'Establishment'

Background

The Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) is a Washington, D.C. think tank  founded in 1962, by Admiral Arleigh Burke and David Abshire, at the height of the Cold War. Current CSIS chairman Sam Nunn and Donald B. Marron have ties to the Concord Coalition, a non-profit co-founded by Peter G. Peterson

The Los Angeles Times has dubbed Mr. Peterson "the most influential billionaire business figure in national politics. . . . He isn't content merely to express concern about the federal deficit. His particular targets are Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid, which he calls 'entitlement' programs and which he wants to cut back in a manner that would strike deeply at the middle class."[2]

****************
M.E. NOTE:  Interestingly, Sen. John McCain, who has often been called a warmonger by mainstream media, is on CSIS's Middle East task force.  Another war might certainly press Mr. Peterson's (the establishment's) drive to slash Social Security benefits, would not we expect?
***************

The Subliminal Message:

Well then, do other readers see a subliminal 'dead duck' in the title graphic of this recently published CSIS video? If not, compare the images below.

In M.E.'s opinion, President Trump is no warmonger.  He can and will covertly support efforts now underway to end the Kim dynasty with the mysterious disappearance of Kim Jong-un during an an unannounced state visit, unscheduled vacation, sudden hospitalization, private daliance, etc.

Two Submarine Mysteries: Each Not Telling (Yet)

Molten Eagle"Submarines are always silent and strange."

MYSTERY #  1 (Enduring)

Background
"Top Secret Data on India’s New Stealth Attack Submarine Leaked ... French defense contractor DCNS suffered a massive leak of secret documents."  click here for a few details revealed by those leaked documents

(AUGUST 24, 2016) India's Defense Minister Manohar Parrikar seeks submarine data leak report, navy says no need for alarm.

"The navy also made it clear that the leak did not take place in India. The data, which comprises over 22,000 pages, was leaked, the Australian media reported. It contained documents on the Scorpene submarines, designed by French company DCNS and being built in India by the Mazagaon Dock Limited in Mumbai (Maharashtra) at a cost of around $3.5 billion. The news created ripples in India soon after the report in the Australian media came out."

(AUGUST 25, 2016France and India Claim Submarine Data Leak Is No Big Security Problem

"France and India on Thursday played down the security risk posed by leaked data on French-designed submarines that a source told Reuters was probably stolen by a French former employee and that has raised concerns over a $38 billion contract with Australia. More than 22,000 pages of data about six submarines that France's DCNS is building for India's navy looked to have been stolen in 2011 by a subcontractor who was fired while providing training in India, the source said."

(SEPTEMBER 3, 2016) Scorpene leak: India shelves plan to expand French submarine order after data breach

"Details of the Scorpene submarine were published in the Australian newspaper last month, triggering concerns that it had become vulnerable even before it was ready to enter service."

M.E.'s Rhetorical question: Which nation is responsible for the submarine data leak (Australia, France, India, none of the foregoing)?

****

MYSTERY #  2 (Enduring SSBNs; Temporary SSNs)

Background
"US Naval think tank: The US needs more submarines and smaller aircraft carriers"

(FEBRUARY 10, 2017) Navy says more money needed to address submarine maintenance shortfall
"Five attack submarines could be decertified this year if Congress fails to provide more money to the Navy to address maintenance and readiness shortfalls, according to government officials.

The Navy did not immediately respond to a request for comment on which submarines are at risk of decertification."

M.E.'s Rhetorical questions (those serving aboard already know):

  • Which 5 U.S. submarines are at risk of "decertification"?

  • Is 5 actually the correct number?

Contrast This

UPDATE (DEC. 18, 2016): Muted U.S. Response to China’s Seizure of Drone Worries Asian Allies
Across Asia, diplomats and analysts said they were perplexed at the inability of the Obama administration to devise a strong response to China’s challenge. It did not even dispatch an American destroyer to the spot near Subic Bay, a former American Navy base that is still frequented by American ships, some noted. ...  “Allies and observers will find it hard not to conclude this represents another diminishment of American authority in the region,” said Douglas H. Paal, the vice president for studies at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.

What explains the disparity in Obama response to national security issues versus Trump's response?

Contrast the facts, circumstances and responses to CASEs (1) & (2), then decide for yourselves.

CASE (1)

ALLEGATION of MALICIOUS FOREIGN INTERFERENCE
with Sovereign Process

"The allegations of Russian interference were raised during the presidential campaign won by Republican Donald Trump last month. But the issue re-erupted last week after Obama ordered an intelligence review of malicious cyber activity by foreign powers in the last three presidential elections."  source

ADMISSION of WRONGDOING by an ALLEGED FOREIGN STATE

NONE: President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin has denied the allegations, and U.S. President elect Trump has disputed the unanimous consensus of 16 intelligence agencies headed by Obama appointees and the Department of Homeland Security. "If Russia, or some other entity, was hacking, why did the White House wait so long to act? Why did they only complain after Hillary lost?" he tweeted Thursday.

U.S. PRESIDENT'S DELAYED RESPONSE
(three election cycles or 12 years)

Dec 16, 2016 |  WASHINGTON — President Obama promised to retaliate against Russia for its attempts to undermine the U.S. elections process, saying that the United States would take action "at a time and place of our own choosing."

CASE (2)

ALLEGATION of MALICIOUS FOREIGN INTERFERENCE
with a Sovereign Process

The Chinese navy seized the US underwater research vessel in the South China Sea on Thursday [15 DEC 16], the US alleges.  "The UUV [unmanned underwater vehicle] was lawfully conducting a military survey in the waters of the South China Sea,"  Pentagon spokesman Capt Jeff Davis told reporters. "It's a sovereign immune vessel, clearly marked in English not to be removed from the water - that it was US property."

U.S. PRESIDENT-ELECT'S QUICK RESPONSE
(President-elect Donald Trump blasted the seizure.  POTUS OBAMA drags his lawyerly feet, as lawyers commonly do.)
ADMISSION of WRONGDOING by an ALLEGED FOREIGN STATE

China said Saturday [17 DEC 16] that its military seized a U.S. Navy unmanned underwater glider in the South China Sea to ensure the "safe navigation of passing ships," in one of the most serious incidents between the two militaries in years.  source

Dec 17, 2016 |   BEIJING — The Pentagon on Saturday said that Beijing had agreed to return an underwater drone seized by China in international waters, an indication that the two countries were moving to resolve an unusual incident that risked sharpening tensions in the run-up to the inauguration of President-elect Donald J. Trump.

Obama will be out of office in 33 DAYS 21 HOURS and 48 MINUTES as of this writing.

Submarine QOTW, Adm's Quote of the Month, & Panama Canal

Background

 (October 2008)

"China’s Control of the Panama Canal Revisited"
...[I]n the event of a serious military conflict with the United States, such as one over Taiwan, it would be highly possible for Beijing to use Hutchison Whampoa to effectively interrupt U.S. intervention. As former Secretary of Defense Casper Weinberger puts it, Hutchison Whampoa’s control of the canal is a national security threat because “The Company would not be able to survive if they don’t do something the Chinese government tells them to.”[ii] Admiral Moore, a former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, claims that in case of military conflict in the Pacific, a large number of logistic ships need uninterrupted access to the canal to support deployed forces.[iii] If the use of the canal were denied, those ships would need to travel an extra 9,000 miles around South America and would not be able to sustain combat effectiveness in the Pacific.[iv]  - Yojiro Konno with Nancy Menges.

(June 2016)

"The New Panama Canal: A Risky Bet"  - New York Times, June 22, 2016, WALT BOGDANICH, JACQUELINE WILLIAMS and ANA GRACIELA MÉNDEZ
Last summer, water began gushing through concrete that was supposed to last 100 years but could not make it to the first ship. The Hill analysts had warned that the consortium’s budget for concrete was 71 percent smaller than that of the next lowest bidder. The budget also allotted roughly 25 percent less for steel to reinforce that concrete. ...

A native Panamanian who graduated from the United States Merchant Marine Academy, Mr. de la Guardia [chief of the tugboat captains’ union] has spent 20 years running tugboats in the canal. “We think it’s going to be a real mess,” he said. “I think something awful is going to happen.”
His concern stems from the canal authority’s decision to abandon [canal-side, electric] locomotives to guide the ships. Tugboats will now push and pull vessels that are more than three football fields long and stacked with up to 13,000 containers, nearly three times as much as the old, smaller ships. Tugboat captains fear that their boats will be overmatched.

(December 2016)

In testimony on Thursday before the House Armed Services Committee's subcommittee on oversight and investigations, Naval Surface Forces Commander Vice Adm. Thomas Rowden revealed that the most recent casualty, damage to the USS Montgomery when it transited southward through the Panama Canal, was at least in part due to failure on the part of canal engineers not to follow the Navy's instructions on how to guide it through the narrow passage.

The Oct. 29 mishap was the second time an Independence-class LCS, with its wider trimaran design, had been damaged passing through the canal. The USS Coronado had also required repairs after a canal transit in early 2014.

"When we took the first ship through and there was some damage associated with it, we sent a team down to the Panama Canal to talk about how we needed to take these ships through the canal," Rowden said.
*********
Had the good admiral forgotten there had also been this Panama Canal casualty:
"The US Navy's newest destroyer broke down while transiting the Panama Canal, colliding with the Canal lock walls and forcing the $4 billion dollar ship to resort to a tow from a tugboat. The USS Zumwalt was towed to a former U.S. naval station in Panama where it will undergo emergency repairs. This is just months after a similar incident in September."

Which brings us to our...

Quotation of the Month

"Unfortunately with the most recent transit, that was not executed. We've gone back to them and we're going to get it squared away in the future, but we know how to get the ships through the canal safely and if we we execute the procedures as we outlined them, we won't have any problems with that in the future."  - Naval Surface Forces Commander Vice Adm. Thomas Rowden,  Military.com, Dec 09, 2016, "New Details Emerge on Littoral Combat Ship Breakdowns" by Hope Hodge Seck

China Just Denuclearized a Sub ... Wait! There is More

Background

China's first ballistic missile submarine, Type 092 submarine (Xia-class), was laid down in 1978, launched in 1981 and commissioned by 1983. - Wikipedia

China's Latest Claims

2016-10-16China's first nuclear submarine decommissioned
China's first nuclear-powered submarine has been decommissioned after more than 40 years of military service, according to the naval authorities.

After undergoing a thorough denuclearization process, the submarine was towed to a wharf belonging to the Chinese Navy Museum in Qingdao, a port city in east China's Shandong Province, on Saturday, where it will be a public exhibit.

The submarine's release from military service and the safe, thorough and reliable handling of related nuclear waste, nuclear reactor and other devices showed China's life-cycle maintenance ability, ranging from a nuclear submarine's production, operation, management to disposal, the naval authorities said.

Coincidences

AUG. 23, 2016 |  North Korea Test-Fires Missile From Submarine
— North Korea test-fired a ballistic missile from a submarine off its eastern coast on Wednesday, demonstrating a significant improvement in its efforts to build a harder-to-detect means to strike American and allied forces, the South Korean military said.

The missile, launched from near Sinpo, a submarine base, flew 310 miles toward Japan, the South Korean military said in a statement. The statement said that the test showed that North Korea was making “progress” after several failed tests of submarine-launched ballistic missiles, or SLBMs.

A DuplicateSub

"A second boat is thought to have been completed in 1982, however this is debatable. There is little information regarding the history of this ship if in fact it actually existed. It is suggested, though not confirmed, that this second Type 092 was lost in an accident in 1985.[6][7][8] "

Worst Case Analysis

Molten Eagle: If a second Xia-class SSBN ship exists, it could well be the one displayed at the Chinese Navy Museum in Qingdao.   With its denuclearized (propulsion reactor systems) removed, the actual Xia, with its 12 missile tubes and 6 torpedo tubes, and which has undergone numerous refits, including new coating, possible quieting technologies, French-designed sonar, and improved longer ranged JL-1A SLBM missiles, would be the game changing launch platform North Korea has been seeking to get within missile range of every U.S. target.

Whether obtained covertly by North Korea or its ally Iran, Xia could easily be refitted with an AIP propulsion plant to provide greater stealth and much simpler operating and training requirements than any nuclear submarine. Such improvements would offer a significant near-term strike nuclear potential to either of these petulant regimes. Does China twist the truth? Calculate the years of service of the Xia and compare to "40 years in active operation" claimed by China.
